Unboxing Series - Berwick Loafers

Here we look at my new Berwick loafers, called 'Palma Flex'. These new comfort flex-style suede loafers are all the rage as we enter the 'smart-casual' state of menswear. Truthfully, there is a good reason for this: they are smart-looking, comfortable, flexible, and versatile. Although I will forever love my dress shoes, I always appreciate shoes like this for the weekends and/or more casual se...
Bad Shoe Trees Can Deform Your Shoes
Переглядів 87221 день тому
This is not a sales tactic. In reality, I don't care what products you buy. But I do feel the need to inform you of the pitfalls of your choices and tell you what the salesmen (who earn commission) won't. The reality is that certain cheap shoe trees can deform your nice shoes. If you only wear junk ones, then no sweat, buy the cheap shoe trees. But if you purchase nice leather dress shoes and s...

It's not about quality it' is design. Cachermire swater's are thin and delicate and coats arent' as warm, you pay for the luxurious feel and look. Velvet is notoriously delicate and silk can't even get wet. So your Blake soled Italians shoes are made that way not for cost but for sleekness. Thin soled Italians shoes are much prettier than chunky Goodyear English shoes. Granted they don't last as long is not value it is for people than CAN AFFORD luxury items. Not only brand has value, also design and Italians are miles ahead over British. I'm really fed up with UA-camrs making millions telling people about value, while they use tom ford and Louis Vuitton thanks to the voluble and insecure audience. Don't confuse value with affordability. Luxury is not affordable because long lasting it's not their goal they use the best materials that last according their properties. If you want durability choose thicker coarser fabrics like tweed or felt.
You forgot to say IMHO aka in 'Your Humble Opinion'. As per the rest, funny. Luxury? Please. You know not of the materials and corner cutting that clearly goes on in 'Italian Designer Brands'. Now, I am not referring to Paolo Scafora made Ferragamos (as Paolo makes quality) but the blake stitched/cemeneted stuff with nearly plastic-like leather for $1000 with a Gucci/Ferragamo stamp. Please. Thats not luxury. Thats selling gullible idiots a name and nothing more. Thin-soled doesnt equal sleek. A last makes the sleekness.
Also "UA-camrs making millions"...that was the funniest thing I ever heard. Millions of what? Pennies?
@@theshoesnob_official Two antworten? I respect your humble opinion. I think tomorrow I will buy a pair of Ferragamo boots that are simply spectacular.
@@pablovogel6986 enjoy wasting money 😎
@@theshoesnob_official I love spending in thing I like, thank you. Wasting is your humble opinion that I don't share.
My latest purchase from Temu…
black wooden pegs, is just a detail but don´t look painted, maybe ebony pegs?
Im sure it is not made by chinese or any Asian
Not Chinese, but Thai yes
@@theshoesnob_official Because this embroidery pattern does not conform to Chinese tradition
Such a beautiful creation!
Indeed
It shines as much as tanghulu !
언제가 일본에 가서 맞춰보겠습니다 😊
Yup ... It's the elastic that throws it off. What's you take on the Zipper Boot?
A zipper boot is more appropriate but I personally dont love wearing boots with suits unless those boots have some sort of balmoral line, such as an oxford boot and/or a button boot.
@@theshoesnob_official Yea your right, even though the elastic is replaced with a Zipper the overall boot looks the same. I agree a Oxford Boot or Button Boot looks much better with a Suit. I'd say it gives it that Old Hollywood Glory Days of the Rolling 20's & 30's. Man didn't they dress sharp back then, even up to the 50's. Now we wear Sneakers with Suits😂 ...
@@robertlopez7779 indeed!
It's debate season; let's get Matt's rebuttal!
Lol. Good idea ;-)
such a well balanced and graceful piece.
Indeed, thanks for sharing
That is absolutely gorgeous 😤🔥🔥
I agree! The elastic throws it way off…..✅
🙏🙏
Chelsea boots were designed to be casual and not formal. How many formal style footwear have an elastic panel
@@gagecarty4290 Understood! What material or style of suit would you wear them with?
Ken Hishinuma made such a stunning shoe. The lines are elegant. The curves are seductive. The heel is innovative. I’m a woman and I want a pair!

You are 100% gay 😂
When I am wearing suit I am sporting a pair of oxfords.
100%
Very popular look in the 1960s, think Mods, John Steed and early Beatles.
Very true
I love the look of your side zipper boots. Very clean and fashionable!
Thank you!
I noticed all of the shoes entered with it were loafers. Was that just the category or is no one even attempting to make anything with laces? It’s a stunning shoe but how do they even judge? So many great entries.

Hi Justine, may I ask your recommendation with sizing, my feet measures 25 cm, and slim heel What is recommended for 337 last? thanks always
Sorry, I am not an expert in how the 337 last fits. Best to contact Crockett directly

I've been following both of Ken's YT channels forever. I'm glad he won. His work is always outstanding.

Workmanship amazing. Taste on the other hand is somewhere between vulgar and obscene.
Any suggestion for gucci 1953 horsebit loafets? I cant seem to find one that fits the last well
I dont as they have a toe shape that is not like most shoe trees. Would just look for one that is quite rounded.
Beautiful I can wear that.
Homie got Dem Beats Bump'n😎. Make Dude floss Deez Locs, Kicks be Bling-Bling'n💎💎💎 ....

Looks so easy to clean. What a dream.
Thank you for your excellent blog-please keep the posts coming! I apologize but I got confused by the mix up. Just to clarify, am I correct in understanding that you use the yak brush as your primary workhorse brush and the goat brush for buffing?
Thank you for your kind words and support. And yes, I meant to say I use the Yak brush as my main brush for shine. I use the goat hair one for more buff and less shine
It's all about the quality and after care 😮
Perfekt
😮😮😮😮never seen such a beautiful shoe in my life
Dles that cualify as a borgonia construction?
Borgonia? Bologna did you mean?
@@theshoesnob_official yes that

@@theshoesnob_official awsome!!
Oh wow....
Exactly
Any Carmina suede models thats good for the rain?
all of them that are not lighter than snuff suede
@@theshoesnob_official thanks
Thanks for the information! To what extent is this applicable to cheap suede, i.e. i have dark brown suede chelseas from Clarks. Should i treat them with waterproofing spray or just avoid rain?
I don't really use sprays on my shoes so it is hard for me to okay using them with the insinuation that they will protect your 'cheap' shoes. I would be curious to know though, if the hype about Saphir Invulner would work on cheap suede. Do let me know if you try it out ;-)
Who made this beauty ? Also I absolutely love this channel because it has opened my eyes on a lot of shoe makers from Asia !
This was made by Attila Shoes. attilashoes.com/?lang=en
This shoe was made by Attila Kovács in Hungary in the workshop of Attila Shoes and became the 7th in the World Championchip of Shoemaking 2024.
Nice !
Очень красивая обувь,хорошая работа.
I think shoes should just include short instructions in what to do. Although most people won't read them, but at least to people that care enough to start doing treatment to new shoes, might take the time to read.
100% agree although each brand's ideas will be different ;-)
So pretty ❤
Where's my boy Siroeno Yosui?
Thats a good question. Hopefully he competes one day
